• [2026-10-07]  [New]  Account-wide IP address groups API

  • A single API call now returns the IP-based target groups of every security-enabled (WAF) domain in your account, with an optional name filter. It replaces calling the Security-Enabled Domains API and then the per-domain Target Groups API once for each domain returned.

• [2026-10-07]  [New]  Primary origin

  • You can now mark which origin is the primary one from Delivery > Routing > Origins. Earlier the first origin in the list was treated as primary. A domain can have only one primary origin, and it cannot be deleted while it is marked primary.

• [2026-10-07]  [New]  New routing and caching options

  • Redirect rules can now match on the value of a cookie, for example to send logged-in users or a specific locale to a different URL.
  • Two new device condition groups, Bot (Mobile) and Bot (Desktop), let you treat a crawler fetching your mobile pages separately from one fetching desktop pages. They can be used in cache variations, redirects and content blocks.
  • Nitrogen can tell your origin whether a request came from a mobile or a desktop user, alongside the existing client-IP, device and geo headers. You choose the header name in Routing > Nitrogen Request Headers.

• [2026-10-07]  [New]  Re-check SSL and DNS from the dashboard

  • The domain setup journey now has a button to re-check ACME (SSL) issuance and DNS mapping on demand, so you can confirm your own setup without contacting support.

• [2026-10-07]  [New]  Start without a custom domain

  • If you are not ready to point your own domain at Nitrogen, you can start on a Nitrogen hostname under static.n7.io and move to your custom domain later. It already carries an SSL certificate, so there is no ACME record to add and no DNS change to make.

• [2026-10-07]  [New]  AIO watermark, text overlay, fill and presets

  • watermark(...) overlays a logo or another image, with control over position, scale and opacity.
  • Text overlay adds text to an image, and fill pads an image to the target size with a background colour instead of cropping it.
  • preset.<name> expands to a reusable set of operations configured per domain, so URLs stay short and one edit changes every image using that preset.

  • Files you uploaded to N7 Storage can now be downloaded back from the Media Library.
  • Enterprise accounts no longer see a storage quota in the dashboard, because their allocation is set arbitrarily large.

• [2026-10-07]  [Update]  Storvia CLI automatic renaming and overwrite

  • --autocorrect renames files whose names N7 Storage does not support, either automatically or one at a time with a prompt.
  • --overwrite replaces files that already exist at the same path, instead of failing with a conflict.

  • Simple Schedule now offers a 90-day option, for sites that do not need frequent refreshes.
  • The page group limit per domain has been raised to 3,000, so large catalogues no longer need to be split across domains.

  • The analytics screens have been reworked for easier reading.
  • A new SERA Fallback Percent card on the SERA dashboard shows how often pages were served from your origin instead of SERA storage, for the current month, yesterday and last month.

  • You can now sign in with a passkey instead of a password. Passkeys and authenticator apps are set up from your user profile, under Secure Authentication.

  • Queries in Account > Log Extracts and Account > Security Log Extracts are now limited to a 7-day range, which keeps queries fast and their cost predictable.

  • Dropdowns across the dashboard are filterable, so you can type to narrow long lists.
  • Clearer error and network messages when something fails.
  • The maintenance page confirmation dialog now spells out what will change before you apply it.

  • See how OpenAI, Gemini, and other assistants describe, rank, and recommend your brand. Configure categories, queries, and competitors, then open the visibility report.

  • You can now onboard a domain for SERA through a guided setup. Nitrogen finds your pages, processes them, and publishes SERA at the edge. Setup usually takes less than 3 minutes. Real visitors still see your site from origin.

• [2026-06-12]  [New]  SERA failed over pages

  • The SERA > Analytics screen > Fallback URLs now shows the pages that were served from origin instead of SERA storage. This will help you in identifying the pages that are not present in your sitemaps.

• [2026-06-12]  [New]  Target Groups API

  • We’ve introduced the Target Groups API to dynamically manage IP addresses and CIDR prefixes for IP-based condition groups. These target groups can be used in Content Blocks for whitelisting and blacklisting. Key highlights:

    • Immediate & Automatic Deployment: Changes made using add or remove endpoints are automatically and immediately deployed to the edge, without requiring manual deployment.
    • UI Integration: Configured target groups are also accessible and manageable via the dashboard under Delivery > Settings > IP Address Groups.

  • Using this AIO StoreVia related feature, you now have UI to upload and manage the resources on N7 Edge. Enable it for any StoreVia domain from AIO Domain listing page.

    You can also enable this feature while creating a new domain on N7 itself.

  • Pinned notification for pending deployment: On making any changes that need deployment - a pinned notification will be shown on top of all pages of all modules.
  • Detailed and actionable domain setup journey steps: You will now be seeing details about each step in domain setup along with links to respective screens e.g. Ownership verification, SSL release, Origin configuration, Deployment, Traffic DNS update etc.
  • S3/GCS origins: You are now able to create S3/GCS origins, to use them in routing.
  • Info panels for first rules: You will now be shown informative panels when there are no rules created on any screen e.g. redirects, rewrites etc.

  • We now support proxying Shopify image requests to N7 AIO using custom theme settings and snippets.

    • Theme Integration: Easily configure AIO endpoints and image domains from the Shopify Admin theme customization panel.
    • Liquid Snippet: Use the custom aio-image liquid tag to serve optimized images directly in your Shopify storefront.

  • We’ve introduced a new feature that gives you an overview of your log extract activity through monthly statistics. You can now track important metrics within your account under Account > Log Extracts, including:

    • Cost: Understand the costs associated with your log extract queries, helping you manage budgets more effectively.

    • Queries Run: Get a clear view of how many log extract queries were executed within the month.

    • Log Lines Parsed: See the total number of log lines that were parsed, giving you insight into the volume of log data processed.

    These monthly stats provide greater visibility into your log usage, allowing you to monitor performance, manage costs, and optimize how you interact with your data.

  • Image Config menu has been removed from Delivery module, and is now available in AIO module only.

  • Copy button has now also been added in all Settings sections, to speed up creating the conditions with similar values/patterns.

• [2023-08-31]  [Discontinued]  As notified earlier, the WPT feature has been discontinued. You can use the RDX add-on instead, to get more detailed and near-realtime information about request’s WVT metrics along with other attributes such as country/city/device details. Please write to us if you are interested.

• [2023-08-30]  [Update]  Major UI refreshments were released to simplify things.

  • Domains listing page is now available under Account menu and is shown as soon as you login. So that, you can see the status of all domains together.
  • You can now centrally select and manage the domains from the top dropdown. Or you can select the domain from Domains listing page - by clicking on domain name or View domain arrow ↗️.
  • To reduce complexity, we have separated the change-History, Origins-listing, and DNS-details functionalities to separate menus.
  • Deploy button has now been moved to History screen, to make reviewing of changes mandatory before deploying.
    

  These changes will not impact the working of your domains.
  Respective updates to the documentation are pushed as well.

  • You can now see few informative pills in some screens like Domains listing, Settings, Users etc.
  • Disable domain feature added in domain listing page that can stop the traffic for that domain at Nitrogen end itself.

• [2023-08-18]  [Fix]  Certain versions of Safari on iOS do not support AVIF images. AIO will not send AVIF images to these versions even if they send image/avif in the Accept header.
